About Us
In the year 2000, Shepherd Staff began as an outgrowth of the Community Chest organization. Local churches took over where the Community Chest left off and a program was developed to reach more people in our community, thus creating Shepherd's Staff Ministries, Inc.
The vision streamlined into a singular purpose: to improve the funding of Shepherd Staff in order to reach families in crisis. A director was hired, and from that point forward, Shepherd Staff has grown stronger with the help of many local churches, businesses and community organizations.
Because of the generosity of our loyal supporters, Shepherd Staff's presence has grown. Today, as an agency of the The United Way of Walton County, the ministry has surpassed a decade of service in reaching thousands of families in the Loganville community by providing assistance to those in crisis. In addition, Shepherd Staff has successfully rallied the support of many volunteers that regularly support and administer the various services and programs that the ministry provides.
At every juncture during this time of service, the citizens and businesses of the community have stepped up in support of all the activities Shepherd Staff provides. While the ministry continues to grow, we continue to need volunteers and donations to carry out our programs.
